Broga Hill

Our friends Ade and Amy asked us if we wanted to get up at an awful time in the morning…on a public holiday here in Malaysia…on Fintan’s one and only day off in ages…to climb Broga Hill which is 1,300 feet high. Known as the 3 peaks…you have to go up, up, up to different heights on the hill. And as I am still on my New Years Resolution quest to see all of Malaysia I can…we said “Of course, we would love to go”. W are always super excited to see new areas in and around KL, especially in the great outdoors, while we are living here.

So at 6:00 am we woke up packed all of our Mount Kinabalu kit to do a practice run and headed out to meet Ade and Amy and head to a hill that I only prayed would give me hope for my fitness level and not give me the icky feeling that…whoops…maybe I wont be able to climb Kinabalu! It was a beautiful morning, a challenging yet great climb…and I think we are close to being ready to ascend Mount Kinabalu this June…or at least I hope!

Amélie

I adore French singer Amélie...and we are lucky enough to go see her tonight in a very intimate venue...will be a great night. 

Amélie is an eclectic French singer whose influences extend from electronic music to folk. Despite being a solo artist, Amélie has created her own small orchestra. She accompanies her lyrics with instruments such as: ukulele, balafon, little harp and guitar.

Stereophonics Live in KL…VIP Passes and After Party Invites!!

Yeah we rock…we know it…’round these parts we are a pretty big deal…and only 99% of that is in our own heads!!

We did, however, score Stereophonics tickets with VIP passes and got our names on the after party list….all of that is true.

The Stereophonics put on a great show! And they even took time out, during the after party, to take a photo with us…for our Climb4Charity.

It was a fun night…we had a large group of friends and even some of our fellow Mount Kinabalu climbers! And in true rock star style…we didn’t get to bed until 5:00am!
