Here is a video of our epic road trip....remember to watch in HD!
This was a very special road trip for Fint and I…it was our
10-year anniversary. 10 years of
adventures. 10 years of joy and love and
sharing. 10 years since we had been to
Boulder, CO. The place where we met and
changed our lives forever…and found our other half. I found not only the one who completes me and
makes sense of the world…but who also encourages me to grow and evolve into who
I am met to be. Fint has been my
cheerleader, my shoulder of support, an amazing inspiration to me, and the
greatest adventure partner I could have ever dreamed of. I am more than grateful for him. So road tripping with him from CA/Vegas to
the place were it all started was amazing.
We even had dinner at the place we had our first date…and it couldn’t
have been more magical! Ok enough of the
mushy stuff….lets move on to the adventure, and photos!
(PS: you might be
asking where about MI by the end of this blog…but that was an epic long trip
that requires it’s own blog…so look for that one shortly.)
VEGAS
Vegas is always awesome…always colorful, full of good food
and shopping and shows. My friend and I
watched O together….and it was amazing; made even more spectacular that we were
in the front row center!! Right in the
middle of the action! Love love loved
it!
Absolute perfection.
Resh and I having dinner and heading to watch O
Front row and center at 'O'...amazing show!
ROAD TRIP
Leaving Las Vegas is always so much fun, because it is when
Fint’s holiday actually starts. And I
get to spend hours and hours with him in the car, singing, laughing and
snacking. Such fun! No matter how much time I spend with this man...it is never enough.
The landscape in this high desert is absolutely stunning. We felt like kids again, running all over and climbing everything! Every where you turned it was another amazing view. These National Parks are so very imported to keep protected and cared for. This is America, this is amazing. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit some of these, I highly reccomend it...and play this song while looking at the amazing scenic views. :)

King of the Hill!
King of the Road!
Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon was extremely cold during our visit....windy and cold. And oh so impressive. It made me feel tiny just standing in its vast space. The size of it, was awe-inspiring. The red rocks and the green trees and blue skies were the perfect contrast and compliment for each other. This was some fresh air to breathe in...perhaps the freshest my lungs have been delighted with in a long while.
Lake Powell
After a long day driving, Lake Powell and the Rainbow Room was a brilliant place to recharge, refuel and relax, to get ready for more adventures the next day.
Horseshoe Bend
This place was absolutly amazing.
Yes, this did give me a mini heart attack. :)
My turn to give Fint one! :)
Monument Valley

This looks like a castle ruin to me....
ARCHES
More mini heart attacks as Fint stood at the edges, looking for the perfect photo angles....
Wilson's Arch
Delicate Arch
Balancing Rock
MOAB
Moab is an not only an amazingly beautiful spot, but it is also a place that can bring fear and achievement to the rawest parts of your being. It was a good reminder to live unafraid...even if one is a little afraid. :)
Our tent was amazing, it was cozy and warm with the wood burner and king size bed. That evening we sat at the campfire, making marshmallows, drinking wine, and meeting the other mad adventures that were staying in the campground. Sharing stories of past adventures and ones we all hope to do in the future.
Morning coffee. :)
The RZR Ride
Now this ride was the scariest thing I have ever done by far. If it wasn't for my unyielding trust in Fint, I wouldn't have gone ahead on this 3 hour sunset tour over the petrified sand dunes high up in the mountains. Scary and trilling all at once!
Heading out!
Fint putting his hand in a dinosaur foot print....nearly as big! :)
Colorado!
We had to drive through a snow storm in the Rocky Mountains on our way to Boulder. Of course, this trip wouldn't have been complete without a snowstorm on the peaks just to give me one last mini heart attack on this adventure road trip of a lifetime!! :) Boulder was amazing fun...meeting up with old friends that we haven't seen since our wedding in NC! It was such a special way to spend our 10 year anniversary!
Colorado River
Finally made it...ready for some creature comforts! :)
After this epic road trip, he deserves to put his feet up!
Here is to another 10 years of adventure with you Fint!!
Look for the MI blog coming soon!!!!
